Experience – Mindi (since 1987) and Irwin (since 1992) bring you many years of full-time real estate experience. In their careers, they have seen it all and know how to handle any situation. Both have had other successful careers in the past—Irwin has managed several retail store locations for a local Ottawa grocery chain and owned his own retail business, while Mindi has been an assistant to two Members of Parliament and a legal secretary at a large, well-known Ottawa firm.

Roots – We have lived in Ottawa since 1974 and in the Barrhaven neighbourhood since 1989. When Mindi started her real estate career in 1987, the first neighbourhood she cultivated was a small bedroom community with a few strip malls, four schools, and almost no restaurants or major shopping. It was safe and up-and-coming. We fell in love with it and moved our young family—our two daughters, Robin (then seven) and Leah (then two)—into their new home.

Community – That was Barrhaven back then. We have watched this community explode with activity. Today, with a population approaching 75,000, it offers everything from fast-food hamburgers to fine Italian dining. There is shopping galore, and the plans for the future are exciting. There are many medical services, including walk-in clinics, dentists, eye specialists, and more. And the schools! Full French schools, Separate Board, Public Board, elementary, middle, and high schools.

Understanding – Having owned several homes ourselves, we know the stresses of buying and selling real estate firsthand. That is why we have always believed in treating each client as we would like to be treated. It is the guiding principle behind what we do.
